Ralph MinayaRalph Minaya, President and Principal Consultant for FPI, brings to his clients over 12 years of Industrial Engineering experience. Mr. Minaya has worked in a broad array of industries including Distribution, Healthcare, Transportation, and Apparel and his demonstrated capabilities include project management, Six Sigma Methodology for process improvement, development of productivity standards, and facilities design. A professional with strong training and team facilitation skills, Mr. Minaya believes involving several team members in the decision-making process produces optimal, lasting results.

Federated Logistics and Operations

From 1999 to 2002, Mr. Minaya managed facility capital projects, time study standards development, staff productivity incentive programs, and facilitated Six Sigma process improvement initiatives for direct to consumer fulfillment operations for this $15 Billion+ national retail conglomerate.
  • Saved over $1 Million in leasing, operating, and consulting expenses by planning, designing, and implementing facilities capital projects

From 1990 to 1999, Mr. Minaya managed day-to-day operations of distribution center, oversaw maintenance of 100+ vehicle fleet, led process improvement initiatives and facilities design efforts for leading international snack food company.

From 1986 to 1989 Mr. Minaya led the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) for the manufacture of medical devices, designed facility storage areas and process flow, and designed System Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with FDA regulations.

Mr. Minaya has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Institute of Technology of Santo Domingo (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic), a MS in Industrial Engineering from Polytechnic University (Brooklyn, NY) and a Graduate Certificate in System Modeling and Analysis from Rensselaer Polytechnic (Hartford, CT). He is a Six Sigma Black Belt and is affiliated to the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, Connecticut Quality Council (CQC), Connecticut Business Industry Association (CBIA), the Project Management Institute (PMI), and American Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE).
